Forest boss Davies won't be gagged by club from stating his opinions

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies is adamant he will not be stopped from speaking his mind by the club. The outspoken Scot has again seen his future at the City Ground the subject of conjecture following reports of more unrest with the club's hierarchy.

There has been speculation of an apparent fall-out between the board and the manager for some time, with Davies unhappy with the club's transfer policy and the former Derby boss calling for funds to be made available to strengthen the squad if they want to win promotion to the Premier League.

"If they think I am noisy now, wait until January and see how noisy I am then," Davies told the Daily Express.

"My role is to recommend, advise and do what is needed to move this club forwards into the Premier League.

"Where does this end? This ends by getting this team into the Premier League.

"I am going nowhere. People can write about me walking, but I am not going to walk."
