Forest boss Davies rates Leicester new Man City

Nottingham Forest boss Billy Davies fears the spending power of Sven Goran Eriksson's Leicester City.

Eriksson has already thrown down a marker by recruiting Wigan keeper Chris Kirkland and West Brom's Roman Bednar.

Leicester are paying a whopping £120,000 to take former England star Kirkland for the rest of the year.

And Davies reckons Eriksson is ready to splash the cash when the transfer window opens in the New Year.

He said: "They are making a statement now - but you will see a bigger one in January from them. I was not surprised to see Sven go there, you knew he was there for a reason. He is part of the wind of change."
