Football League relax Bournemouth transfer embargo

Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell has revealed the Football League's transfer embargo has been loosened. The Cherries' dealings have been tightly monitored by the Football League following the club's exit from administration in 2008.

"We're not embargoed at the moment," Mitchell told the Daily Echo. "First and foremost, we would try to look to get in loan players.

"I don't see us being in a position to spend fortunes but, if we have the funds at the start of January, then we would use them.

"Compared with a lot of people around the club, I haven't been in football very long.

"But I've been in business as long as anybody else and I understand what makes the club tick. I know what it takes to keep the supporters happy."
