Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden admits defeat at home to Brentford was a shock.

Foden struck in Saturday's 2-1 reverse.

"We're down, we lost a game of football. We had chances to win the game definitely," he said.

"We need to just forget about it, clear our heads, come back from the World Cup and try and go again.

"We're not used to having this break now. So the league will feel a little bit different his year but, like I said, once we get back, we want to start winning games again and fix it."
