Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe was delighted with victory over West Ham United.

Defoe reckons if they can keep their performance levels high then success for Andre Villas-Boas' men could be on the cards.

"[The performance against West Ham]was good, not only the goals but the performance as well. The manager wanted a reaction today and I thought the whole performance from the first minute was fantastic.

"We had great energy and great tempo. It's how we should be playing at home and overall we were the better side and deserved the three points.

"I just want to keep [my goalscoring] going. Keep helping my team get three points and hopefully achieve something special this season.

"It's a long way to go yet but we're all working hard and hopefully we can go on a run now."
