Fluminense club president Mario Bittencourt has discussed speculation about the future of Nottingham Forest target Nino.
After his team won the Copa Libertadores, Bittencourt had to get down to the business of holding onto his best talents.
The likes of midfielder Andre Trindade and defender Nino are being linked with Europe's biggest clubs.
Post-game, defender Nino said in an interview with Globo Esporte: “I also found out about the interest (from Nottingham Forest) the day before (the final).
“My agent already knew that my focus was on recovery, on being able to play this game 100 percent. I did it, thank God.
“I met with them this morning, they gave me every possible situation, nothing is certain yet. What is certain is what I have always said, that I have a great affection for Fluminense, I am very happy here, and, if one day I leave, I want to leave in a way that is good for me and for Fluminense."
Bittencourt told Sportv: "I said to Nino: 'If you decide to stay in Brazil, I'll make every effort, I'll increase your contract, so you can stay with us for eight, nine, 10 years'.
"He said he really wants to play in Europe, it's a dream for him and his family. We may lose (him), but we're working to replace (him)."
