Real Madrid president Florentino Perez sought to lift his players in the aftermath of their home defeat to Barcelona.

Florentino was quick to visit the home dressing room at the end of the game and delivered a long, considered speech to the squad, choosing his words carefully in order to keep his players upbeat.

"We must keep fighting and fighting. Get up. We must recover soon because there is a lot of encouragement being shown and we can win the Liga," he said.

"You have to get your strength back because this team is a good one."
