Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has encouraged Gareth Bale to fulfil his dreams with the Spanish giants. Bale was unveiled as Real's latest Galacticos signing yesterday in Madrid.
Perez welcomed Bale, declaring: "Gareth, the moment you have been dreaming of since you were a young boy is now here. You come to the club with the biggest expectations in the world, but we will all be at your side. Our supporters expect the very best from you and your team mates but they will give their very best back to you in terms of their support and passion. Because our supporters and fans are our strength and our driving force. They will expect you to play at your best and I am fully aware that you want to show to them that you carry this badge and shirt in your blood.
"Gareth Bale: the challenges at Real Madrid are permanent, even after success, but never forget that the energy of this Santiago Bernabéu stadium will also be your ally. Many of the great football players have been part of this club and you are now following in their footsteps. And there will also be players that you look up to among them.
"And we are pushing forward with the model that we inherited from Santiago Bernabéu. We are always looking to bring the best players in the world to our club because that is one of the strategic identifying features which turned Real Madrid, in the eyes of FIFA, into the Best Club of the 21st century.
