Darren Fletcher admits James Morrison was key in convincing him to swap Manchester United for West Bromwich Albion.
The Scottish pair impressed in victory over Stoke City.
"He spoke to me a few times when I was thinking of moving here - it's normal that if you are thinking of moving clubs if you know someone there you ask about different things," said Fletcher.
"He sold the club to me. He said what a good club it was, the people around the place and how good the dressing room was, and how impressed he had been with the manager in such a short space of time.
"We've kept 12 clean sheets now and it is not by coincidence. It is down to hard work, time and effort at the training ground and the players buying into what the manager wants."
