The 20-year-old striker's new two-year deal runs until June 2013, and, while it is unlikely he will stay with Hibs that long, the length of the contract should ensure his employers of a healthy pay day if and when they agree to let him go.
"I am delighted to have signed a new contract with Hibernian and confirm my long-term future as being with this club," Fletcher said yesterday. "I am still only 20 and so have a great deal to learn yet, and I believe that the best place for me to do that is right here at Easter Road."
