Flamengo vice-president Kleber Leite has declared they hope to negotiate a deal for Inter Milan striker Adriano.

Adriano is back in Brazil this week recovering from minor injury and Leite said: "It is clear that we will attempt to sign him.

"Given the way things have progressed, Flamengo will discuss this with those responsible. It will be a difficult negotiation, wait for it start, but we'll try."
