Fit-again Oliver Skipp delighted with back-to-back Spurs friendly wins

Oliver Skipp is delighted with his form in Tottenham's midseason break.

Skipp has started both games at Hotspur Way - a 4-0 win against Scottish Premier League side Motherwell last Friday followed by a 3-1 win against Peterborough United's Under-21s in freezing conditions on Wednesday.

Skipp, who returned from a nine-month injury absence in October, racked up 80 minutes against Posh and told the club's website: “It's always nice to get minutes after nearly a month without a game, really important and we've treated the games in the right way, a good couple of performances, and they've been good in terms of getting back into the rhythm of playing matches.

“This season is a bit of a weird one (in terms of the break for the World Cup) as usually you don't get this opportunity halfway through the season, by Christmas, there have been loads of games, but this has been a bit different. It's nice to have a reset, clear the mind a bit and get ready for the second half of the season."

Asked how he felt after such a long spell out, Skipp added: “I feel fine, no problems."
