Fiorentina striker Mutu upbeat after goal scoring comeback

Adrian Mutu says he's over his latest injury at Fiorentina.

The Fiorentina star has missed several weeks of this term after dislocating his elbow twice, but returned with two goals in the 3-1 win away to Bologna on Monday afternoon.

"I felt no pain in my elbow that day," grinned the Romanian. "I went into challenges without fear and although it was difficult to stay upright on the slippery surface, I managed it.

"I am happy, truly very happy. I hope the chain of injuries that hit me has finally been broken."

His comeback was certainly impressive, as Mutu scored twice in the opening 16 minutes with his first real chances.

"It was strange, my first two touches were turned into goals. They really gave me wings and it's a shame I didn't score a third, as I had the chance and made a mistake."
