Fiorentina are ready to organise mediation with Chelsea and their striker Adrian Mutu.

The Romanian lost his appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport this week, so he must pay £14.5 million for breach of contract after he failed a drugs test in 2005.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Fiorentina patrons Andrea and Diego Della Valle are working to set up a meeting with Roman Abramovich and Mutu.

They hope it will clear the air and reach a compromise so both parties can move on.
