Fiorentina have confirmed a thigh injury for Nico Gonzalez.

The Argentina attacker was stretchered off during their Europa Conference League draw with Ferencvaros in midweek.

It will mean Gonzalez is facing several months on the sidelines.

The club stated: "ACF Fiorentina announces that the footballer Nico Gonzalez, following the injury that occurred in the UECL match against Ferencvaros, has suffered a second-degree injury to the flexor muscles of the right thigh.

"The player has already started the rehabilitation process and will be re-evaluated in the coming weeks."
