Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli has wrote off their Scudetto chances this season.
He said: "We're not ready to win the Scudetto, I can comfortably spell that out in capital letters, but we can cause quite a few problems for everyone else.
There were fears they would give in to Roma's £18m offer for Adrian Mutu, but after a deal was agreed the club pulled the plug.
"I was not particularly stressed during that whole incident, especially as the administration had said in previous months that contracts should be respected. I compliment them for having kept their word.
"Mutu is happy to stay and I did not have to intervene in the matter. It was purely a decision that came down to the club. All I did was give a technical opinion."
