Fiorentina coach Cesare Prandelli was grateful to a "40 per cent" fit Adrian Mutu for his equaliser in yesterday's 1-1 draw with Bologna.
"We were sluggish in the first half, but as time went on we got sharper and created many chances," conceded Prandelli.
"It was unlucky that we conceded a goal on the first Bologna corner and it was a tough game, as it's never easy to get back on track away from home."
Mutu was only on the bench, but he replaced Stevan Jovetic at the start of the second half to score the equaliser.
"I don't regret leaving him out, as he needs to recover fully in an intelligent and balanced manner. He has been sidelined for a long time and we have a very important game on Wednesday," said Prandelli of the Champions League qualifier with Sporting Lisbon.
"Mutu is crucial for us, but we need him at least 70-80 per cent fit, not the current situation which is 40 per cent.
"We were focusing on Bologna today and not Sporting. It was very hot and we didn't get a strong start, despite having two great chances to open the scoring."
