Fiorentina remain interested in Chelsea striker Fernando Torres.

The Viola approached Chelsea earlier this year to confirm their interest in Torres and to ask to be kept up to date on his situation.

Key to the deal is Eduardo Macia, the former Liverpool chief scout who first took Torres to Anfield from Atletico Madrid. Macia is now sports chief at Fiorentina and is driving the deal from their end.

Torres could accept a move away from Chelsea should Radamel Falcao arrive from Atletico Madrid.
