Fiorentina chief Corvino admits talks stalled for Arsenal's Eboue

Fiorentina chief Pantaleo Corvino admits a move for Arsenal defender Emmanuel Eboue has stalled.

Corvino has discussed their transfer plans, revealing: "Emmanuel Eboue and Luisao are still too expensive and I've made my last offer. Hopefully they will come, otherwise we will get someone else. Lorenzo De Silvestri instead wants too much for his contract.

"Edinho would be good in midfield but Tiberio Guarente and Fernando from Porto are important options too, which we are considering patiently.

"I just hope people won't continue talking about Felipe Melo. Last year they were saying we shouldn't have signed him. Now I fear everybody will carry on saying that we miss him.

"Eduardo Salvio from Lanus is one of the best youngsters but we are covered in that role."
