Fiorentina coach Vincenzo Montella insists he's happy with striker Alberto Gilardino.

Gilardino is yet to start for the Viola since his arrival from Guangzhou Evergrande in January.

Montella said: "Gila is very motivated and lives for the goal.

"I haven't started him so far because I didn't consider him suited to that type of match. He remains an important resource for us."
