Filipe Luis: Atletico Madrid will have to play humbly in 50/50 Bayern Munich encounter

Atletico Madrid defender Filipe Luis suggests he and his teammates will need to be patient in next week's Champions League semi-final second leg.

Los Rojiblancos defeated Bayern Munich 1-0 at the Vicente Calderon on Wednesday night to take a narrow lead into the return bout in Germany but Luis is well aware that it will be a much more difficult task away from home.

Atletico edged the contest courtesy of a stunning first-half goal from Saul Niguez before Bayern dominated large sections of the second half and left-back Luis knows that another huge effort is required next week if the Spanish side want to progress to the May 28 final in Milan.

"The tie is totally open - I could say that it's 50-50 because we know that they're home, they play really strong, they play wider, the pitch is really fast and they're going to have a lot of chances," he said.

"I think we're going to have to be humble at this time and give everything we have to be at the best level to reach the final - that's our dream."
