Fiji's star striker Roy Krishna will continue his trial with North Queensland Fury rather than play in his nation's Association Cup Tournament.
The Fiji FACT organisers were keen for Krishna to play for Labasa FC but he has decided to turn down the $10,000 he would have received and continue striving to impress the new A-League club.
Krishna is expected to play in the pre-season clash with Brisbane Roar on Saturday night with the opportunity to partner former Liverpool star Robbie Fowler too hard to pass up.
"Roy was being offered monetary incentives to play for Labasa but has decided not to," his agent Rex Dawkins said.
"Roy is not getting paid for the period he is on trial with the Fury and this is a big sacrifice on his part."
