FIFA insist they will NOT be pursuing further action against Birmingham City defender Martin Taylor over his tackle on Arsenal's Eduardo da Silva.
That went totally against an earlier statement declaring they had asked the FA to review the incident and reconsider their sanction of just a three-match ban.
Birmingham boss Alex McLeish was yesterday talking in terms of his club having a 'legal case' against the FA if they moved to impose any further punishment.
And last night FIFA confirmed they had decided not to seek any further sanctions against the player and the matter was closed.
