Feyenoord keep door open for Kuyt's return from Liverpool

Feyenoord sporting director Martin van Geel says he would happily welcome Dirk Kuyt back to the club but insists that now is far too soon.

The Dutch forward departed De Kuip for Liverpool in 2006 and although van Geel would love to one day have him back, he feels that a proposed move this summer is not feasible.

"I would love to welcome Dirk at Feyenoord as soon as possible. He fits in here more than anybody else," van Geel told NUsport.

"He is more than welcome at the club. However, I do not think that it's realistic to believe that he could return this summer."
