Ron Vlaar suggests he is very close to joining Aston Villa after visiting the club on the weekend.
The 27-year old Feyenoord defender has held talks with the West Midlands club and is now on the verge of signing with Villa after being impressed by his meeting with new manager Paul Lambert.
"I was on Sunday in Birmingham to have talks with Paul Lambert and left with a very positive impression," Vlaar saide.
"Joining Aston Villa would be a dream come true. I look forward to the Premier League but I will miss Feyenoord."
