Feyenoord chief Martin van Geel says they remain keen on signing Manchester City striker John Guidetti.
The Swede has played this season on-loan with Celtic and is off contract from City in June.
"We continue to investigate the possible arrival of Guidetti.
"We will go for the strongest possible squad within our means," said Van Geel.
Guidetti struck 20 goals in 23 league matches for Feyenoord when on-loan from City in 2011/12.
