Fernando Torres has paid tribute to Japan's football fans.

Sagan Tosu's clash with Vissel Kobe was an emotional affair with it being Torres' final match in professional football, and the former Atletico Madrid goalscorer has confirmed that Japan will always feel like his second home.

"For me, Japan will always be a second home," Torres explained.

"The most important thing I have is my family, and I feel that in Japan I also have a very large family, that you are all part of.

"I will always be indebted to you."
