Internacional midfielder Fernando has taken aim at his former Sevilla teammates.

Fernando left Sevilla in January to return home to Brazil.

He told Canal Sur: "I began to see that things were not going to turn out well, the same mentality did not exist, there were many players who did not care whether they won or lost.

"I was inside that boat and there were moments when we lost and there was a lot of laughter... I couldn't continue like this, individually there was nothing I could do.

“I didn't expect to fight for relegation after three spectacular years. It is a time to change players and it is necessary to be strong again. It is not easy to have a competitive squad, a good coach who engages people, like Lopetegui, who was there from eight to five in the afternoon, there were many people wanting to win.

"It's not just good players, you need people who want to compete."
