Bruno Fernandes has explained committing to a new deal at Manchester United.
The midfielder recently signed new terms to 2026.
Fernandes said, "I held talks with the club, when everyone knew that Ralf (Rangnick) was not the coach who would lead the team in the future. When they made that decision, I talked to the club and said that I wanted to be the solution, that I wanted to help the club - but also that I wanted to know where we were going.
"Is there a plan? Is there a future? This was before I extended. I told the club that obviously money is important, no one can deny that.
"But then and there I said that I was happy with the money - but that I didn't want a new contract without knowing that we have a bright future."
