Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes has sent Jesse Lingard a congratulatory message after his winning goal against West Ham United.

Lingard, who spent the second half of last season on at West Ham, was introduced as a substitute with the scores tied at 1-1.

The 28-year-old fired in a stunning goal with 89 minutes on the clock to give United all three points.

After the match, Lingard posted a photo of himself celebrating with his United team-mates and wrote: "Thats football, thank you for the warm reception today."

Fernandes, one of the players congratulating Lingard in the photo, responded to the post, writing: "You deserve it bro."
