Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise on teammate Park Ji-Sung after his match-winning performance against Liverpool on Sunday. The 29-year old netted a second half goal to give the Red Devils all three points and send them back to the top of the Premier League table and following the match, England skipper Ferdinand lauded the South Korean.

"Ji has been phenomenal recently," said Ferdinand. "He's a player who's probably appreciated a bit more by his team-mates than some of the pundits and the media.

"Now, however, I think people are starting to see what a talented player he is. Maybe that's only because he's scoring goals, but we've always appreciated him. He's a top man and a top player."
