Rio Ferdinand will go around again next season regardless of whether he remains with Manchester United or not.
The 35-year old centre-back is out of contract at the end of the season but is determined to continue playing at Old Trafford despite the fact a new manager is set to arrive ahead of the 2014/15 campaign in the wake of David Moyes' sacking.
"I'm going to continue playing," said the former England international.
"Whether it's here, I don't know. But I hope so."
And Ferdinand added that United's 4-0 win over Norwich City on the weekend was not simply a case of Moyes being out of the role following rumours that he had lost the players completely.
"It is always natural when you change a coaching team, that the intensity goes up because everyone wants to impress and everyone wants to play the first game under the new manager," he said in regards to the victory under interim boss Ryan Giggs.
"They see it as a new chance, a new opportunity, and that's no different to what I have seen over the years with different teams, including England.
"It is no different this time around."
