Ferdinand insists Man Utd players don't believe title already won

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand insists no-one is getting ahead of themselves after victory at Blackburn Rovers.

The 33-year-old insists the fist-pumping at Ewood Park was nothing more significant than satisfaction at winning on a ground where United had recorded just two victories from their last 12 attempts.

"The significance of that reaction on Monday was blown out of all proportion," he said.

"I have been at the club for 10 years and Blackburn has always been a hard place to go.

"We have had a lot of bad results there. A couple of years ago they stopped us from winning the league.

"We wanted to put that right and it was nice to get one back over them."
