Ferdinand: I had plenty of offers to leave Man Utd

Rio Ferdinand says his priority is to play out his days with Manchester United.

The defender admits he had lucrative offers from abroad before penning a new 12 month deal late, last season.

"There was loads of talk in mid-season about China. That was because I was in the final year of my contract and clubs were allowed to talk to me and I was allowed to talk to them," Ferdinand revealed to the Manchester Evening News.

"There was interest from others but I didn't talk to any other clubs at all.

"I didn't want to because all I am interested in is playing for United. I want to do that for as long as I possibly can.

"At the moment I have a 12-month contract and I am not really looking beyond this season. It was the same last year.

"If David Moyes sees me having a future at United after this coming season then we will do a deal."
