Ferdinand admits Man Utd not good enough at Liverpool recently

Rio Ferdinand admits Manchester United haven't been good enough in recent seasons at Liverpool. Ferdinand acknowledges his side deserved to lose on those occasions but feels that if they cut out sloppy defensive mistakes they are capable of getting a long awaited win.

"Over the past few years, we have given away some soft goals," added the former Leeds United and West Ham United man.

"A lot of the victories we have achieved were based around defending well as a team, playing collectively and not as individuals.

"You can't argue with the results. I am not making excuses. We lost the games. They were the better team on the day.

"But if we go back to what we are good at this weekend, I am confident we can get a positive result."
