FC Twente encourage Swansea to try again for Castaignos

Swansea City are again being linked with FC Twente striker Luc Castaignos.

Voetbal International says Twente need to make major sales this summer to balance the books and Castaignos is among senior players expected to leave.

Swansea, which made enquiries for Castaignos in January, and VfL Wolfsburg are expected to be approached by agents about reviving their interest at season's end.

Castaignos was considered by Swans boss Garry Monk as a replacement for Wilfried Bony after his midseason sale to Manchester City.

Twente chief Gerard van den Belt confirmed they want to raise €10 million from sales this summer.

"There's beginning to emerge a lot of interest for our players, especially in Germany and from the highest and second highest level of England. In those competitions there is currently a lot of money"
