FC Twente are monitoring closely Cheick Tiote's situation at Newcastle United.

The midfielder is expected to be sold this summer by Newcastle as they seek to boost their own transfer fund.

West Ham United and Southampton were linked with Tiote over the weekend.

Twente are keeping tabs on developments, with Voetbal Primeur reporting they boast a clause of 20 per cent of his sell on fee from the midfielder's original transfer.
