FC Nuremberg midfielder Peter Perchtold is closing in on a move to Gold Coast United according to Miron Bleiberg.
The United coach confirmed that the 26-year old German could be on his way to Skilled Park but not before a few issues are cleared up.
"We are awaiting word from him. Nurnberg owe him money and he is trying to get as much as he can," he told the Gold Coast Bulletin.
"So there is a stumbling block there. We have been promised an answer imminently."
But Bleiberg admitted that he believes his squad has enough good midfielders to deal with the absence of marquee man Jason Culina whilst he is away on international duty.
"It doesn't worry me whether we get him or not," he added.
"I feel we have the quality to cover for Jason while he's away with Australia at the Asian Cup."
