FC Dallas remain top despite Tauro draw

FC Dallas are still on top of their CONCACAF Champions League Group C despite being held to a 1-1 draw Panamanian outfit Tauro.

The Texans won their opening two matches but had to settle for a point at Pizza Hut Park despite Daniel Cruz opening the scoring inside the first 30 seconds for the fastest goal in CONCACAF Champions League history.

After the early setback, Tauro managed to hit back four minutes from half-time when Luis Moren converted his penalty kick after Rene Mendieta was brought down by Ugo Ihemelu.

It was a paltry crowd of 3,000 in Frisco but Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman was just happy to get another point to add to the tally.

"At the end of the day, we've got seven points and are leading the group and we've got to keep that in mind going forward," he said.
