FC Dallas defender George John has revealed he will maintain contact with English Premier League club Blackburn Rovers despite a deal falling through last week.
The 24-year old was set to sign with the Ewood Park outfit but a deal could not be agreed and he has returned to Dallas for the remainder of the 2011 MLS season.
John says he is not downtrodden despite the dream move not occurring and insists that he remains on the Rovers radar.
"I got over there and it was a really good experience," John told MLSsoccer.com.
"They welcomed me with open arms and it's just that the timing wasn't right. We are going to maintain a relationship and right now I'm back with FC Dallas.
"I had the opportunity to meet the coach [Steve Kean] with [former D.C. United defender] Ryan Nelsen, the captain, and it was a good time," John added.
"But like I said earlier, just the timing wasn't right and I'm looking forward to being with FC Dallas right now."
