FC Dallas impressed by debutant Castillo

FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman was happy with the MLS debut of youngster Fabian Castillo on the weekend.

The 18-year old Colombian had been in the USA for less than a week before coming on for a 35-mniute cameo in the 2-0 loss to San Jose Earthquakes at Toyota Park and his showing impressed Hyndman who scouted him in his homeland.

"I thought he was very good," Hyndman said. "He's very explosive, which he showed when I went to Colombia.

"He's a player that moves as quick with the ball at his feet as he does without it.

"I thought he made an immediate impact on taking people on, getting people behind the opposition, and putting San Jose under some pressure."

Castillo will now prepare for his second MLS match when Dallas takes on Columbus Crew in Ohio on Saturday.
