FC Dallas have cooled their interest in Colorado Rapids midfielder Christian Gomez. Rapids coach Gary Smith is keen to clear the Argentine's US$400,000 salary off his books and FC Dallas were regarded as favourites to snap up Gomez.

However, the Washington Post says Dallas have gone cold on the idea, leaving Chivas USA and New England Revolution to consider moving for the midfielder.
