Southampton have missed out on Fulham winger Alexander Kacaniklic.
The young Swede appeared all set to sign for Saints today on-loan. However, he has committed to FC Copenhagen.
Only 24 hours ago, FCK coach Ståle Solbakken confessed they'd lost out to Saints for Kacaniklic.
"We were in negotiations with a former Premier League player, who had a Premier League wage, and therefore chose to remain in England. It's too bad for us, but I understand him. We can only pay what we can. There is nothing to do."
However, Kacaniklic has performed a U-turn and chosen to sign for FCK ahead of Southampton. It will be for a season-long loan.
