The father of Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is entering player management.

The Daily Mail says Evans's father Jackie, who spent five years coaching in the United academy, has responsibility for identifying, recruiting and managing young players for Murdock Sports Management.

Colin Murdock would not comment on Evans targeting United's best prospects, saying only: "We are all trying to do a professional job."
