There are questions over Manchester United winger Wilfried Zaha's determination to make it at Old Trafford.
The Daily Mail says Zaha may have started to lose focus at about the same time he put pen to paper on a £35,000-a-week five-and-a-half year contract with United last January.
Regular Palace watchers report that their star player did not consistently reach the same heights after that. The flashier his car, the duller his performances.
Zaha's farewell appearance was the play-off final - Wembley again - as Palace clinched their place in the Premier League.
Perhaps Zaha thought he had arrived when he reported for pre-season training with United. He has had to contend with a house move and admitted he was star struck at the prospect of training with the likes of Rio Ferdinand.
But now it is beginning to look more and more likely the winger will be loaned out in January, either in a bid to boost his confidence or as a kick up the backside.
