Crystal Palace boss Alan Pardew praised Chelsea for the way they got the job done in winning the Premier League.
Jose Mourinho's Blues defeated Palace 1-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday to claim the 2014/15 English title by being the best defensive team in the land.
In recent times, Chelsea's style has been criticised but Pardew feels that it was the necessary way for Mourinho to complete the task after sitting on top of the standings all campaign.
"They've obviously done the job. Sometimes fantasy and flair goes out the window to do the job to win," he said.
"That's why this guy (Mourinho) earns the money he earns, because he wins and he wins trophies."
Chelsea, who have Eden Hazard's 45th-minute goal to thank for the win, are 13 points clear of second-placed City with three matches remaining.
