Falkirk product Fulton delighted to join Swansea

Jay Fulton was over the moon after completing his move from Falkirk to Swansea City on transfer deadline day.

The 19-year old midfielder has signed a two-and-a-half year deal at the Liberty Stadium for an undisclosed fee and was thrilled to have made the move to the Premier League.

"Swansea were a big attraction to me," he told Swansea's official website.

"Swansea's style of play has been well documented in the last few years, and the club has done very well playing that way.

"I know the style here really suits me. I like to be on the ball and pass it about.

"And I know I will be stepping straight into the Under-21s set up, but I see it as an avenue to the first team.

"I've played over 100 games at senior level, but I see this as a big opportunity for me.

"The challenge for me is to get into the U21s side and then, hopefully, put my name forward for the senior side. "I know that will take time but it's a dream I want to accomplish."

Fulton is the son of former Celtic, Heart of Midlothian, Falkirk and Kilmarnock winger Steve Fulton. He was born in Bolton during his father's spell with the Trotters in 1994.
