Falkirk are moving for Newcastle United goalkeeper Tim Krul.

Bairns boss John Hughes said: "We are delighted to bring a goalkeeper of Tim's quality to the club.

"He is one I have watched and been impressed by on a number of occasions and I think that it shows how far the club has come when we are able to attract the Dutch Under-21 goalkeeper to the club when there was genuine English Championship interest in the player."

Krul will provide competition for Robert Olejnik, who arrived from Aston Villa earlier in the summer.
