Fair Game slams decision to end FA Cup replays

The Fair Game organisation has slammed the decision to end FA Cup replays from next season.

Fair Game say the ruling is a further blow to the financial health of lower division clubs.

"Scrapping FA Cup replays from the first round proper deprives lower league clubs of a much-needed source of revenue," they said.

"This is a short-sighted move that does nothing to strengthen the game. It is another nail in the coffin for the already crumbling football pyramid."

The FA Cup semifinals are held this week between Coventry City vs Manchester United and Chelsea vs Manchester City.
