Ralf Fahrmann says leaving Norwich City for SK Brann was the right call.

The Schalke goalkeeper ended his loan with the Canaries last month so to join SK Brann.

And he says it was all done in consultation with Schalke coach David Wagner: "I was always in contact with coach David Wagner, goalkeeper coach Simon Henzler and sports director Jochen Schneider.

"Together with the move to Norway, we found the right solution to prepare me perfectly for the new season."

On returning to Schalke, he also told Transfermarkt.de: "I want a fair chance. And when I receive this, I am so convinced that I can be number 1 again."
